AuFlux for Gold and Silver Soldering comes in 15ml Dropper Bottle
A yellowish fluid, primarily used for gold soldering – AuFlux but can be used for silver soldering.
The fluid is painted onto the surface being soldered to help keep it clean and free from any oxidation which may occur, excellent results can be obtained from using this product.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: Boric Acid, Disodium Salt, Ammonium Chloride
PHYSICAL DATA: Soluble in water.
TOXICOLOGY: Harmful if swallowed. Irritant. Gas (hydrogen sulphide).
RISK PHRASES: Harmful if swallowed (harmful to the unborn child), Irritating to eyes
PERSONAL PROTECTION: Gloves, safety glasses.
APPEARANCE AND ODOUR: Yellowish liquid. May discolour on exposure to air and light. Low odour.
REACTIVITY: Decomposes in the air to. Incompatible with acids, oxidizers, alcohol, carbonated water.
FIRST AID: wash contact area thoroughly with water. If eye irritation persists, see a doctor. If swallowed, give water or milk and induce vomiting and seek Medical Aid.
INHALATION – Vapours may irritate the throat and respiratory system and cause coughing.
SPILLS AND LEAKS: Sweep up spills and collect for disposal. Ventilate area. Wash spill area thoroughly with water. Disposal suitable in a domestic drain
STABILITY: Stable. Incompatible with strong acids, alcohols, strong oxidizing agents, strong reducing agents, combustible materials, halogenated hydrocarbons.
